baked french fries

I saw this recipe for baked french fries in the latest issue of bon appetit and thought I’d give it a whirl. For some reason I’ve always been intimidated by making french fries. I think every time I’ve made them they’ve don’t get done enough or are soggy… quite a bummer when it comes to fries. I feel kind of silly now though because these were super easy and the fries came out all golden and crispy. I didn’t feel like the coriander/cilantro added a whole lot, I think just some salt and pepper would be perfect.

    Thanks for the recipe, tried to bake potatoes last night and they didn’t turn out so well. Was going to look for a new recipe and here it was today. Thanks

    hi kelly! these fries are baking in my oven as i type! your pics looked too good to resist…not to mention, i too have tried fries before and they are always soggy. they already smell yummy!

    These look super simple and super yummy! Mine either burn or are soggy..I might have to give this one a try!

    Hi, just thought I’d point out that coriander IS cilantro. Cilantro is American for coriander.

    That said, I totally love your site! :) And the recipes.
